This training is intended for farm caregivers, veterinarians and hoof-trimmers (to be or already trimming). Limited space is available at cost ($2500) to industry related folks interested in learning the basics. Contact Dr. Jen if you want to take advantage of the limited space opportunity.
The Kinder Hoof Care Academy Basic & Refresher Training: 3-day hands-on hoof trimming course for farm staff or professional trimmers and veterinarians who want to gain experience and understanding of maintenance trimming and treating lesions.
You will learn and practice:
- Principles of hoof care
- Functional hoof trimming
- Therapeutic hoof trimming
Participation requires:
- Watching training videos (approximately 3 hours of pre-work) prior to the first day of the course.
- Practicing biosecurity - Wearing clean clothes and coveralls, and any additional biosecurity measures taken during the training.
The Kinder Hoof Care Academy Advanced Training: 1-day hands-on hoof trimming course for experienced farm staff or professional trimmers.
Enrollment is limited to experienced trimmers with formal training on the functional trim method or on farm training on the functional methods.
You will polish your skills in:
- Functional hoof trimming
- Therapeutic hoof trimming
Participation requires:
- Watching training videos (approximately 3 hours of pre-work) prior to the course.
- Practicing biosecurity - Wearing clean clothes and coveralls, and any additional biosecurity measures taken during the training.
KHCA is brought to you by Kinder Ground and made possible by the generous support of our donors. The true cost to deliver a trimmer training is $2,500 per person. All donations made through this event page will be dedicated to supporting this and future trimmer training.
Cancellation must be made 4 weeks prior to training for a full refund (minus credit card service charge), otherwise refunds will be granted only if the space can be filled.
